The experience

City Wonders combines an English-speaking archaeologist, the entry ticket and free time after the tour. The part that gives the tour its name, the areas of the secret excavations, is an option: the listing describes them as reserved sections of the site that rarely feature in standard tours, and they are only included if you choose that option.

The price starts from $39 per person on GetYourGuide (October 2026), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The official ticket alone costs €20 for Pompei Express or €25 for Pompei+, on Vivaticket or at the ticket offices inside the Park, and is named and non-refundable. The listing does not specify which ticket is included.

Two clear limits. The tour is in English. And the operator states it cannot accommodate people in wheelchairs or with assistance needs, nor strollers and wheelchairs in group tours; large luggage and bags are not allowed. The meeting point depends on the option and appears at the time of booking.
