The experience

Departure is from Piazza del Popolo, in the center, near the fountain with the lions and the obelisk; the nearest metro stop is Flaminio, line A. The staff wears blue and holds a City Wonders sign. The departure point may depend on the option chosen, so check your confirmation. For the whole day, there is a tour leader in English or Spanish, depending on the option.

In Pompeii the tour is guided by an archaeologist and entry to the Park is included. After that there is time to buy lunch, which is not included, then the coach travels along the Amalfi Coast and arrives in Sorrento: free time and limoncello tasting at a local distillery, before returning to Rome. In total, 12 - 13 hours.

The price starts from $94 per person (October 2026), with free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The official ticket alone costs €20 (Pompei Express) or €25 (Pompei+), on Vivaticket or at the ticket offices inside the Park, named and non-refundable; the listing does not specify which type is included.
